Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone out there in this crazy world.  No matter what your beliefs or state of heart Easter is a reminder of renewal -of making new again- If new years didn't do it for you and lent was a bust-Easter is a time to just begin again.  No promises not resolutions just new starts.  I hope you that is reading this has a wonderful Easter and a renewed energy this Spring.  It's a tough time to feel light and alive in you heart with politics and terrorism and fear.  To borrow a quote from Sister Pat at GMA High School in her Easter letter.  "Today Jesus’ resurrection takes our fears, our worries, our hurts and sadness and puts them all into perspective. He rose so that He could say to each one of us what he said to the Good Thief: You will be with me in Paradise!"
So no matter where you are today- you can have rewards with a renewed heart!  Happy Easter- Happy Spring!  May the God of all Bless you!

3-D Flower Easel Card

This card was for my February Hostess Club.  I love to find new ways to use our dies and I love to take old ideas that were hard to do and add my own cheater spin to them.  This card was inspired by all those card that people punch an hole in the card and then add a flap that then folds over a punched image usually a circle.  Here is one I did for Easter with  a bunny- I suppose mine is a little fancier then some but this is the idea that grew into this card.

I made a full set of directions for the 3-D flower easel card on tams- if you click the TAMS link next to the supplies list below it will take you to the website the PDF is made on and you can print or save it from there.  I hope you enjoy making this project and if you need to purchase any of the supplies and would like to do it through me just click on the links for the products below.

Hello Spring Card Botanical Gardens Suite by Stampin' Up!

I'd like to share the first card from my March Sketch Class.  This card was a little bit of a departure from the literal sketch.  I love the rich colors of this collection.  the black's sharp contrast to the pastel Mint and the bright Hello Honey then the mopey Cajun Craze.  These flowers are really fun and detailed I love that there are so my options in how to layer them.
The choices of leaves are really cool and unusual, I love the one that is fern like it cut really nice and releases easily if you use wax paper between the die and the card stock.
If you need to purchase on of the supplies and would like to do it through me the link are at the bottom of the page.  Please opt in for demonstrator contact so that I can thank you and send you the Hostess Club Tutorial for this month.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop- Carft Space Special!

Welcome to the March 2016 edition of the Blogging Friends Blog Hop!  The theme foe this month is our craft space.  My studio, The Power House, is in my basement.  I recently added a powder room and had the room repainted so I have yet to hand pictures or decorations as I'm too chicken to take a hammer to my pristine walls.  Who knows maybe this weekend.   I live on the East Coast so basements are quite common for extending your living space.  The only drawback is no handicapped access so sometimes we have to have class upstairs.

This is my desk/classroom seating.  I can seat 8 here.

This area is storage and my e-cutters
Here is a sketch class ready to go.  each project in a bucket.

This side of the room is where my family hangs out and keeps me company while I do my thing.

This is where my 8 1/2 x 11 card stock lives and my books.  Below is pictures waiting to be scrapbooked and storage.

These bins store old style wood mount stamps and other supplies.

This is my Big Shot area.

Cutting and scoring happen here.

Above I store my current stamps, they are marked with the orange dots.

The magnetic strip allows me to secure dies that are in use and prevent loss.

This is my light box for taking pictures.

I store my reinkers and such in these trays.

Washi Tape

Embossing powder and glitter

My creative space, cup warmer mandatory!

Storage for my 6 x6 paper packs.

I store my paper scraps by family here.

Ribbon is stored in the trays.

scrap cubby

The dogs ball and my card storage.

My sweet little powder room and my only natural light!

Enjoy the tours- links are all below!
