Traditions-Travel Class -

For my travel Class this month we are doing Cards for Children.  I just had to pull out some  of my favorite oldies-I may change the cards yet but these are the first couple I was inspired to make.  I think my Ladies will like them-they don't care if the stamps are retired.

June Technique Class

Technique this month is going to a lot of fun and a lot of challenge.  We are making an easel card-with a doily skirted dress and the new Mosaic background embossing folder kicked up with a background stamp and Illuminate Ink for a bit of bling-not sure you can see the bling it is subtle but quite nice.  If you are joining us for class I'll see you Tuesday night not Monday night- at 7PM.

Thinking of You -Really

I am doing my morning "work" I try to do a little stamp business every morning.  As I'm researching how I'm going to meet new customers and keep my business alive for another year I realized hey I need to post something to my blog I haven't thought about my virtual friends today and I remembered this card I had made-It was one of the prototypes for my masculine card class last month but it got voted out by my daughter.  I really liked it but I think she thought it was too bland-of course she is 14 and if it doesn't have glitter it's bland.  I hope you like it-The Stamp has friend but I wanted the design to be more versatile to I added the word window with "nephew" what do you think?

Two Step Stamping Class

Friday May 10 is my two step stamping class at the Library.  I chose on masculine and one feminine stamp set to use.  this is a basic stamp class to meet new people and introduce them to the art of card making.  I have to say back in the early 90's I saw someone demonstrate two step stamping on DIY.  I could never find two step stamps until one day while sitting in the ballet studio ten years later I saw a woman reading a Stampin' Up! Catalog and low and behold one thing led to another and I've been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator for 9 years.
This hot air balloon is a far from the image of a heart that was solid and came with an out line.  This card came out so soft and lovely yet still perfect for a man-

This second card Celebrates Pretty in Pink as we say farewell.  I added soft suede to help it pop and even used the two step on the butterfly-the framelit die added the perfect edge-I love that there is no lining up a punch to get this effect.  This set is so nice because you really don't need the stamp-a-majig to get the flowers lined up, they look lovely even if they are not centered -soft and floaty.

May Cards-Masculine Theme

So my class to go for May is centered on Cards for the guys in the lives of my ladies.  I have to admit making cards for guys is the most challenging class for me to design.  I actually designed several and had my family vote on their favorite three-then picked the ones I like best anyway....yeah I admitted it.

I just had to use this cute watch stamp that will be leaving us the end of the month.  It's from Dapper Dad and the oval is from The Beyond Plaid Set both from the Spring Occasions Book.  and let us pay tribute to Baja Breeze..farewell.

The blimp here is from the Ronald McDonald House Charity set-It retires this month as well and I can't believe that this is the first I'm inking this set up-where has this year gone.  The Banners are from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits.  Soooo happy.  The DSP is Parker's Prints from the Spring Occasions.
I've been loving this background and I finally broke down and invested in it as part of planning for this class-I hope everyone loves this card as much as I do and how cute is the denim ribbon with the tools!
