April Technique Class -Glitter Embossing

For Technique this month I chose to teach Glitter Embossing- It's a messy one and I'm still cleaning up glitter and it's been twelve days since class!

Here's the directions I gave out:

Glitter Embossing- Wipe Cardstock down with Embossing Buddy to remove static.  Using a brayer cover the top half of an Embossing folder with Versamark then emboss card stock.  Immediately sprinkle with mixture of half Clear Embossing powder and half glitter.  Tap off excess powder and then heat cardstock till all of the embossing powder has been melted and appears shiny.

The class all made the Soft Suede Card-The one with Midnight Muse was just an example of the  technique on a masculine card.   It came out cute!  My husband loves his watch so this may be his birthday Card  ssssssssssh!

Color Renovation!

Wow!

New journey about to take off!  I'm excited to get my hands on this smokey Slate!  I also broke down today and ordered the Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Wisteria Wonder and Pool Party ink pads in the new style pads I'd been holding off since they would be leaving us but alas they are not leaving!  They are joining the regular rotation!  so much fun!!!  I am very sad about the loss of Pretty in pink and River Rock as well as Certainly Celery but I knew it was time.  More Mustard though there is no replacing.  Of course I'm sure that the New In Colors will help me to fall in love again.

April Card Class on the Go!

These are my cards that will travel this Month.  So if you have a private class in April you will be making these "Feminine themed cards.  I will be bringing along a variety of Sentiments for class participants to use on these cards so that they can be personalized into Mother's Day, for my daughter, Birthday, Sympathy etc..

This first one uses the Dress dies in the Spring Occasions Book.  this is a fun set of framelits- and does the seam binding not just make the cutest bow around the waste!
The next Card is so simple in design but will introduce to the ladies two step stamping.  sometimes I get so caught up in the newest and forget to teach the basics so I'm using this card to take a little step back and teach some basic stamping-and to give it a wow we are adding Smooch Spritz and Dazzling Details-this card has some shimmer to it in person.
I like how this card layers the DSP however this paper is no longer available so I may have to switch up the DSP and the sentiment but this is the layout we will use.

March Sketch

Wow can it really be April first!  and I haven't posted the March 20th Sketch class projects!  What a crazy couple of months and it doesn't look like it's going to get any calmer anytime soon!

Well here are our three super fun and easy sketch cards.  Maybe some day I'll figure out how to attach the actual sketch-I make the sketches in MDS and then export them as JPEGs and pop them into a word document-if anyone wants a copy just post a comment and e-mail me and I'll e-mail you the document.

Who doesn't love a pin wheel-the new Big Shot die makes them so easy to cut out!  It's a little bit of a challenge to get the tiny brads through the spokes but soooo worth the effort!

Are these new over sized Rhinestones not so fun on this button and there is bling yet this could so be a card for a man!  Thanks for checking out my stuff!  let me know if you have questions or would like to attend the next sketch class!
