September Sketch Class

September's Sketch featured a tag with a 2 x 3 panel and two embellishments.  Tamre did a wonderful job with her homework!  no one else earned a prize this month.

This is the first of the three cards we did in class.  I posted my favorite first.  I just love these new feathers and in the glitter paper oh my!  The tag is 2 x 3 inch paper from the Park Lane DSP pack.  The sequins are on with glue dots and the paper piercing a is really what makes this card special.
The Hi There stamp set lends this greeting and the oval framelits are just right here.  Soft Suede, Crumb Cake an Whisper White make a class neutral palette.

Hostess Club Projects for September

September Hostess Club we made these cute fall projects.  I guess they were a hit since I received a lot of orders for the Hardwood stamp and the Wonderous Wreath and the Curvy Keepsake box Thinlit.  For the "door" we used Soft Suede on Baked Brown Sugar I cut two panels one that was 4 x 5.25 and one that was 3.5 x 4.5.  The larger is adhered to card base after stamping and sponging and the second is cut down the middle at 1.75 and then each of those is cut off center at 2 creating two panels 2 x 1.75 and 2 panels 2.5 x 1.75.  The wreath was stamped in Tangelo Twist then over stamped in Soft Suede, the berries were stamped in Gold Encore and then Gold Dazzling Details was applied after the whole card was assemble.  The bow was stamped in Tangelo Twist on Tangelo Twist.  The box was simply cut out adhered together with Fast Fuse.  One hint on the assembly-don't try to line up the inner corner of the box bottom just make sure the box bottom is a square and that you have handle across from handle and slot accross from slot.  I found that my score lines were very deep so I put them to the inside of my box so that the didn't have too much stress on them and tear.  The Gold Glitter Paper Feather and the Mossy Meadow Leaf are cute with the Wood Accent and the Linen Thread.
We stamped the To and From image from the Merry Everything Stamp set then punched it out with the Note Tag Punch then flipped it over and stamped the Grateful for You in Mossy Meadow.   The Give Thanks if from the Good Greetings Set that you can only get by hosting a $300 workshop between now and October 31.

The sixth and final project from my Fall Fun Stamp Camp is a Thanks giving card.  I made it in three colors before I could decide.  I went with the Whisper White base above, however the ladies loved the crumb cake and Blackberry Bliss version.  The DSP is from the Color Me Autumn DSP pack.  I stamped the images in Gold Encore ink and sponged everything with Crumb Cake ink.  I dipped the wood leaves on the Encore ink pad and wiped back the excess.  Here are the class instructions.
Sponge DSP with crumb cake
Stamp pumpkins and Happy Thanksgiving in gold ink you may want to heat set before you cut out. Assemble with dimensionals and glue dots.

Fall Fun Stamp Camp post 5 of 6

This card cam out super cute.  The Chocolate Chip leaf is a wooden accent sponged.  The "barn and split rail fence" are done with Soft Suede ink on Baked Brown Sugar Paper.  I cut a panel that was 5.25 x 4 cut the end "plank" off -the one that was a plank and a half and then cut the remaining "planks down to 3.5 long then cut them a part so I could place three down as the split rails and the fourth one I punched off the top with the Petite Pennant Punch.  The Pumpkins are Tangelo Twist on Tangelo Twist and the the stems are Chocolate Chip the leaves are old olive on Old Olive.  Here are the class instructions.
Sponge ground onto card base in suede
Cut apart panels sponge and adhere horizontal pieces -punch end piece with petite pennant punch
adhere long piece as barn wall.
Stamp pumpkins in tangelo twist on tangelo twist
Stamp leaves in olive on olive
cut out and assemble with dimensionals and glue dots
Stamp Grateful for you in tangelo twist

Fall Fun Stamp Camp 4 of 6 Boo Card

Happy Friday!  my next project to share I cased from the Remarkable Stampers Pintrist page.  I'm not sure who pinned it but it's a cute idea.  I was worried about punching these squares straight so here's what I did.  I cut a panel 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 and made lines one horizontally 1/4 inch from the top edge then vertically 1/4 inch from the edge, 1 3/8 from that then 1/4 from that, 1 3/8, 1/4 from that etc across the paper and then punched the 1 3/8 inch square punch.  I used this as a template to mark my Tangerine Tango panel and then every one in class was able to be successful with their window.  Here are their directions:  Use template provided in bin to draw on the squres then punch out.
Cut out the ghosts-you can cut all three at once.
stamp on faces with momento ink.
put adhesive on the bottom edge of each ghost and tuck them in so they look cute.  Cut off any ghost sticking out, add dimensionals to hold them in place and in corners, layer on black panel and Hello Honey card base.
Stamp "boo to you" on scrap. punch with Word Window punch and layer on black label punch add candy dots.

Add treat to bag and tie bow, we did malted milk balls because they are nice in big and take up the space nicely.
Emboss the front panel of box with large polka dot embossing folder
use dimensional to adhere trick or treat and ghost to edge of box.

Use Fast fuse to adhere box together.
