December Blogging Friends Blog Hop

Well I guess it must be the first of the month already!!!  Wow time flies especially this time of year.  Speaking of especially -this card is definitely for someone special.  There are lots of little pieces to cut.  The poinsettia isn't as difficult as it looks though.  The Reason for the Season Bundle makes easy work of it,  I punched 8 of the larges and four of the medium and small petals and two of the double petals and two stamens from the glitter paper.  I stamped the veins on the leaves after they were cut out -this was easy as the stamps are Photopolymer.  I cut two Cherry cobbler circles a 1 1/4 inch and a 3/4 inch to layer the petals onto and then I put dimentionals around the circles to stick the petals to.  I basically followed what the do in the Stampin' Up! corporate video however I used dimentionals instead of the liquid glue-required far less patience.  I did a more detailed post about the card base and DSP sizes earlier this month if you want more info on that click here.
Well please enjoy the rest of the Hop and be sure and let everyone know if you enjoyed their post!  Thanks for Stopping by and I'll see you......Next Year!  Yikes.

HI Anne, sorry I didn't get to pay you a visit yesterday, but it was first on my list today! That pointsettia card is just stunning. It really pops in red and green! I did not have that stamp set and punch on my first round of ordering, but I did just buy it for myself and can't wait to use it! Hugs, Crystal
