Bokeh Technique for September Technique Class

This Card was a big hit at my Technique class this month's class.  We meet the first Thursday of every month.  The tree stamp on this card is from the Festival of Trees stamp set.  Here are the directions we used on our technique card.

Bokeh Night sky Technique-refers to a photography technique of blurring light to form globes of color.  Make a deep colored background with sponging or similar technique.  Stamp a focal image.  Build light circles using a variety of sizes and colors-large white craft ink circles are nice for giving an ethereal glow. Repeat stamping looks nice to give variations in saturation.
We used Mossy Meadow for the "grass".  I used a circle from the center of a medallion stamp that was meant to be waste to stamp the large circles and each of the ladies got their own applicator to take home of the small circle( it was a stampin' up pencil we used the eraser with the metallic ink.

The tiny dots were a stamp that came in the Festival of Trees set.  The sequins are in the occasions holiday book.

Hostess Club Project August

To kickoff the new round of Hostess Club we did two project with the Sea Steet Stamp Set.  First was a Window Sheet Card.

The little fishes were stamped with White Stazon.  The card stock is Night of Navy and Real Red

We also made a fun Hamburger Box with a pop-up sea inside.
 These are our instructions
-->
Hamburger box Pop up insert-

Cut and assemble Hamburger Box from Bigz long Die by Stampin’ Up!

To help assembly snip the center score line on each trifold corner
Crease all lines and assemble corners with glue dots.
Use glue dots to adhere front lower corners
Use piercing tool or scissor to open slit s slightly to help tabs to insert without bending

Cut matching card stock to 2.5 x 6.5
Score along long edge at .5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.75, 3.5, 4,5,6 inches.
Fold  as shown adhere down the flat sections to inside of hamburger box “mountains will be pushed in tight and paper will be snug.  Embellish and decorate as desired.

Maybe I'll make a video of this project.

August Sketch Class card Three

For the third and final sketch card in August we went a little more masculine.  I made this card first so I had hand cut the pennants but for the class we used the dies.  The spiral boarder punch and the candy dots gave the card that little extra.  The Moonlight paper stack gave me a nice choice of paper to use.

The second card we did for Sketch Class was using almost the Same supplies as the first time except with Strawberry Slush Card Stock and the new Hearts Boarder Punch which I punched out and then cut with the now retired edgelit.  Stamps from the Good Greetings Hostess Set and from Something to Say.

August Sketch- part one

This is the first of the Cards we did for Sketch Class in August.  Using punches and framelits mad quick work of this complicated adorable sketch and the use of a paper stack made choosing coordinating paper a breeze.  The sentiments are from the Good Greetings set that is free till the end of October to Hosts with $300 in sales.  Enjoy and thanks for stopping by.

Sketch Card Three from June

Here is sketch card three from June.  Vivid Vases Stamp.  Colored with the new Blendabilities Markers by Stampin' Up!  Then used the trimmer to cut it up into nine squares and arranged them on the slightly larger piece of Pool Party card stock. I used two new boarder punches the Hearts Boarder and the Spiral Boarder.  The Black stripe is retired but I'm sure any paper from the Back to Black paper pack would look great too!
