Travel Class for April

 Hello Stampers-  Today I'm going to share the first of the three cards I'll be doing in my travel class for April.  What's a travel class you ask.  Well, it's my class that I bring to you so if you have a group or want to do a private class with your friends this is the class you'll be making.  I don't offer this class in the Powerhouse Studio.

    This month we are focusing of Get Well Cards.  This first one is made with the Happy Water Color Stamp Set.  I used Pear Pizzazz (Stamped off) and  Soft Sky as Well as Soft Suede Classic inks.

  I used the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits in the Big shot and Soft Sky Card stock.  I cut the Doily in half and tucked the two halves behind a Panel of Very Vanilla card stock Cut to 1 15/16 by 4 1/4 and Punched with the Angled Tag Topper Punch.

     The DSP is from the Etcetera Designer Series Paper Pack.  I really like how soft and soothing this turned out.  Inside I stamped "Feel Better Soon" from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set.

   The edges of the soft Sky Mat are distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool.  All the other edges are Sponged.

Technique Class for May!

 Hello Stampers!

    Today I'd like to share with you my project that was planned for the April sketch class - which got bumped to May.  We are going to do a Floating Color technique and we will also float some color.  I used the Secret Garden Stamp set and framelits.  The Card Base is Bermuda Bay stamped with the Woodgrain background in Versamark and Heat Embossed in Whisper White.  The Hello is from the Friendship Preserves Stamp set.  I used three colors of classic ink for each flower and an Aqua Painter.  Thanks for stopping by.

Card two for March Sketch-

 Hello-happy hump day.  Such a busy week here in the Power House Studio!  Hostess Club, Sketch and my Easter Stamp Camp all in one week! 

   Here is the second Card for Sketch class see the previous post for a look at the sketch.

   I used the chevron embossing folder for the the Real Red Panel.  The I Am Me DSP from the Annual Catalog and Framelits and buttons are from the Occasions Book.  I used the Just Saying Bundle for the Sentiment and the filmstip image is out of the Peachy Keen Bundle.  I love that this is a very unisex card.

Easter/Spring Travel Class 3 of 3

 The final card for my March travel class is using water pens, water color paper and classic ink.  The images were stamped in Black Stazon Ink.  Colors are Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White and Pool Party not a typical color combo for me but I just love the springy effect.

    I think the sentiment my be retired but if you really want to use it and don't have this set you can always print it from MDS.

  Score Card stock as shown above, use a framelit to cut an opening in the panel between ½ and 4.  Apply sticky strip to the ½ panel.  Crease lines then apply one of the two panels that are 3 ¼ wide to the panel 1/8 of an inch from the 4 ½ score line on what will be the inside of the box.  Adhere the ½ panel to the panel past the 8.  Decorate and Embellish.  You can use this a gift card holder putting the gift card in the window or making a pocket instead of the inside DSP panel.

Your Amazing Card for Sketch February

 I Absolutely love how this card came out-I sat down to design the cards for the February Sketch Class and they came together quite quickly and easily-I hope this means it was a great sketch and that my participants will all do their homework and bring in cool cards to share.  The last card I did was this one-completly inspired by the DSP-isn't it funky and fun!  Thanks for taking a peek.  I used the dazzling details silver for the glitter on the elephants birthday hat-perfect!

Thinlits Hexagon Hive Die for Juary Sketch class

This is card two-very cool background!  Loving this new Hexagon Hive Thinlit.  The cardstock is Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Red Glimmer Paper and the Hearts Collection of dies and the Fresh Print Paper Stack round out the card.  The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla the greeting is from the Love you to the Moon and Back Stamp Set.

Spiral Flower Original Die

Today is the first day of leadership, I'm sitting on the steps outside main stage watching hundreds of ladies swap and reconnect with old friends what a great privledge it is to be here.  thank you to my down line- The power crafters!  
      Sketch for January will be Thursday January 16,  RSVP due Tuesday,  January 13.  This is the first of the three cards we will make.

      This card features the Hello Lovely Stamp set heat embossed in Very Vanilla.  The Crumb Cake DSP is from Fresh Prints Paper stack.  The lattice pattern inspired me to break open this new Die from the Spring 2014 occasions catalog.  I was a little worried the rose would be hard to do however it came together fairly easily.  I used a bone folder to soften and shape the petals and I really love the result, not sure this is a mailable card except in a box though!  But the effect is lovely.

November Sketch class

 Today I'm sharing one of the cards from this months Sketch class.  It features the winter frost DSP and the silver foil paper from Stampin' Up!'s Holiday occasions mini.  It was fun doing the Rosettes on the score tool.  I scored the whole sheet of 12 x 12 at 1/4 inch intervals then cut the paper into strips an inch wide.  The foil sheet on the small panel is embossed with the delicate Designs Embossing folder that resembles snow flakes
